Your Wedding Cake

At Love Cake, we pride ourselves on creating wedding cakes that are as delicious on the inside as they are beautiful on the outside. All of our cakes are made fresh to order, moist and decadent with a large variety of delicious fillings for you to choose from. Our tiers range 5" - 6" high, but we can customize your tier sizes if there is a particular look you are going for. Generally, our cakes have 4 layers of cake with 3 layers of filling in between. The majority of our cakes are covered in our delicious Vanilla Buttercream. While we can certainly cover your cake in fondant, most of our clients prefer a buttercream finish with the use of fondant embellishments if the design calls for it.​

As for designing your perfect cake, we are happy to use inspirational pictures that you bring to us, but we'd love for you to peruse our galleries and be inspired by our unique style. People have described our signature style as having the likeness of antique or vintage china. We love to design one-of-a-kind elegant cakes that will add a memorable detail to your decor that you will enjoy for years to come as you revisit your wedding album. Some of our favorite design techniques include palette knife painting, detailed scrollwork & piping, stenciling, watercolor effects, bas relief, gold deckle edges, fault lines, floral designs, ruffles, brushed embroidery, gold drip, lace patterns... and so much more! We also have a soft spot for butterflies, fresh flowers and anything gold!

*Consultation & Tasting Experience

In order to schedule a Consultation & Tasting Experience, you must first have your venue secured so that we can make sure we have availability on your wedding date.

​

Wedding Cake Consultation & Tasting Experiences are $45 and typically last 45 minutes to an hour. The appointment includes a sample box of up to four cake flavors and six fillings & buttercreams of your choice. We always include our Vanilla Buttercream with your tasting box! The $45 will be credited to your wedding cake order when you go to contract. 

At the appointment be prepared to discuss your wedding cake. Bring with you any cake pictures, Pinterest boards, color swatches, pictures of your dress, an invitation, textile swatches, pictures of flowers and anything personal or sentimental you'd like to incorporate into your cake design. Once a design is determined, you will receive a quote by email within 5 business days which includes the contract for you to review as well. Design mock-ups can be provided once you secure your date with us.

 

Because we are a private studio, we cannot accept walk-ins. We now only offer virtual appointments.

Sweetheart Cupcake Box

In case you miss out on some wedding cake at your own wedding, Love Cake has the perfect solution - a Sweetheart Box! This is a cupcake sampling of your wedding cake flavors which will be delivered along with your wedding cake for you to take with you after the wedding. This is our gift to you because no one should miss out on some good cake!

Complimentary Cake Stand

Complimentary Anniversary Cake

Anniversary cakes are included as part of your wedding cake package. You will receive a 6" buttercream cake, a special Love Cake design, with your choice of cake flavor and one filling (exceptions may apply), which you can order FRESH for your first anniversary. Anniversary cakes must be ordered at least two weeks before the desired date of pickup and need to be ordered within one month past the anniversary date, at which time the offer will expire. Please complete our order form to begin the order process.

Delivery and Set-Up

We safely and securely deliver our wedding cakes fully assembled in our Cake Safe.  Delivery and setup are included in your wedding package. Deliveries that exceed 25 miles one way will be charged an additional fee according to mileage.  Love Cake personally delivers and sets up all wedding cakes, which includes flower placement. Fresh and silk flowers are to be provided by the florist or the client. Clients are not permitted to pick up and assemble their wedding cakes.​

Kitchen Cakes

Kitchen cakes are undecorated cakes that are purchased in addition to a wedding cake, usually to help reduce costs. These cakes are not displayed cakes but are kept in and served from the kitchen. When sliced, they look identical to your wedding cake, just without decorations. Kitchen cakes can be ordered with any custom-displayed wedding cake of 100 servings or more. Kitchen cakes are priced at $7.00 per serving.

Faux Tiers

Faux tiers can come in very handy for improving the overall design of a cake and giving added height without having all the extra cake. Faux tiers may not necessarily be an area for cost savings due to the expense and time that goes into them, but we can certainly discuss this as an option should it benefit your overall design and budget.

Groom's Cakes

Love Cake will also provide groom's cakes to already contracted wedding cake clients. Groom's cakes are a great way to give the groom some special treatment in the dessert department as the cake design is all about him. They can be served at the wedding, but are typically served at the rehearsal dinner the night before. Groom's cakes are custom-designed and are priced per project. Because our main focus is on your wedding cake, we do not offer sculpted groom's cakes due to the time and labor involved in making them. Groom's cakes can generally be picked up to avoid additional delivery charges. We are happy to discuss your vision and give you a quote!

Investment

Our commissions start at $850. Pricing takes into consideration many factors, such as size, design work, time of year (peak or off-peak),  and travel distance. Please contact us for pricing.
